Regarding his TNA status -
Due to developing circumstances, Austin Aries is not able to comment on his professional status at this time. A statement will be forthcoming in the future at a more appropriate time. Austin does wish to convey his personal thanks to all his fans for their continued patience and support!!!

January 26, 2005:
--Austin Aries is ranked #18 in the WrestlingDistrict.com Second Annual Top 100 U.S. Wrestlers for 2004!!!

#18. Austin Aries
2004 Accomplishments: Won ROH World Title (d. Samoa Joe), advanced to finals of ECWA Super 8 Tournament (lost to Christopher Daniels), participated in the IWA-MS Ted Petty Invitational Tournament, won PWW Title (won a 20-man Gauntlet Match on 12/12).
2003 Ranking: Unranked
Outlook: Here is someone that went from virtual obscurity to one of the biggest and best stars in the United States. Like many before him, Aries took advantage of an entrance into ECWA’s Super 8 tournament, parlaying it into spots with some of the biggest promotions, most notably ROH. Aries quickly turned his roster spot in ROH into a prominent role, becoming a member of Generation Next. The best, however, was yet to come, as Aries was the man tapped to end the title reign of Samoa Joe, which had been approaching two years. I think it’s safe to say that this is simply the beginning for Aries, and this time next year it is very believable that Aries is slotted in the Top 10, if not the Top 5.
